The main aim of the project “SME in the Bioeconomy” is to inspire and encourage knowledge exchange between small and medium size foodenterprices (SMEs) in the Nordic countries for product development and marketing of local food with the emphasis on availability of local food on the Nordic highways. The project will be set up for two years and runs in 2013-2014.

The focus is set to increase variety of quality food products from the local bioresources. The main goal is to support the exchange of expertise between areas utilizing the available bioresources in each area strengthening the local bioeconomy.
