#NORDICFOOD2024 The Nordic Countries as a Sustainable Gastronomic Region


The New Nordic Food II programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers invites you to an exciting and forwardlooking workshop in Copenhagen. We would particularly like to meet people who work with food in the fields of development, branding and promotion of the Nordic countries as a gastronomic region as well as those working with food and events which highlight Nordic gastronomy or in the gastronomic tourism industry.

The results from the workshop will serve as important input for future work regarding Nordic food as well as for the final report from the New Nordic Food II programme.

Dan Husted, the mastermind behind Copenhagen Street Food, welcomes us to Papirøen and Copenhagen’s new street food venue by giving us a tour of the premises. Charlotta Ranert, project manager for New Nordic Food, talks about the evolvement of the street food scene in the Nordic countries.

Ami Hovstadius, project manager for marketing areas Food and Travel at VisitSweden, makes an introduction to Foodies; who are they and why is it crucial that they are attracted to the Nordic countries?

Futurist Birthe Linddal from consultancy FOOD FUTURE will be our keynote speaker on the day. She will open the workshop by painting a scenario for the future and The New Nordic Kitchen 2024 , threats and opportunities in a changing world. This will give us a bigger and clearer picture of the most important trends during the next decade and their possible impact on the future of food.

Together with Ann Hansen, of Ann Hansen Concept – Competence we look at the future of the Nordic countries as sustainable gastronomic regions.

We will also get an inside report on the latest street food trends and be introduced to Copenhagen Street Food, Copenhagen’s new street food Mecca by the Top Dog Dan Husted.
