Nordic Design and Innovation Week, day 1 (Lunch with chef Tareq Taylor, Opening ceremony)


New Nordic Food strengthens the Nordic brand at Nordic Design and Innovation Week 1-10 November 2013 in Shanghai.

On the first week of November, Shanghai will be buzzing with Nordic design and innovations. In a joint effort, the four Nordic Royal Consulates are presenting a programme of seminars and workshops around design, addressing issues such as how design methods can be used as a driver of change and how design processes can help sustainability. The New Nordic Food programme will be present to highlight the innovative New Nordic cuisine.

10:00-11.30am Opening ceremony and press conference

11:30-12:30 Lunch: “Nordic take on Chinese classics” Swedish chef Tareq Taylor will serve a Nordic take on a classic Chinese noodle soup containing local sustainable vegetables and Norwegian seafood

13:00-15:30 Powered by PechaKucha seminar on Design in the Nordic region Pecha Kucha is a presentation methodology in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each –so six minutes and 40 seconds in total, keeping presentations concise and fast-paced. This seminar features several Nordic and Chinese speakers that are presenting their view on Nordic design.

20:00 Nordic Design and Innovation Week Opening Night “Icy Nordic with a hint of fire” is the theme of this party, that’s arranged in cooperation with the Bund Magazine. Programme
