Championship and seminar in Nordic Artisan Food

On 13th of November Icelandic Championship in artisan food production is held and the competition has gathered over 110 food products from the Nordic countries. A seminar will be held parallel to the championship. Both events will be held in the Nordic House, Reykjavik.

Specialists from Matís and chefs from the Icelandic Chefs Association will evaluate over 100 food products from every Nordic country.

In the seminar the speakers from all the Nordic countries will give good examples on how to support and promote local food.

November 12th -15th an Artisan food seminar and the first Icelandic Championship in artisan food production will be held in Reykjavik Iceland. New Nordic Food II and Matís welcomes artisan food producers and others from all the Nordic countries to take part in this event. Parallel to the championship there will be a seminar where speakers from all the Nordic countries will give valuable insights on how to support and promote local food. The seminar is supported by Promote Iceland, Icelandair and The Nordic House. As a part of the program a study tour and short courses will be held for artisan food producers. This is supported by the “Innovation project” under Nordbio, the Icelandic chairmanship program of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
